As a solo proposition, Brigadoon released the album Itch Factor in 2020, which was named a Pick of the Week by the Sydney Morning Herald and awarded five stars, and received radio play from the ABC (Double J) as well as FBI, 2SER, RRR and many others. ‘This just took me to a complete other place’ said Xan Rowe; ‘divine melodies’ said fellow ABC radio host Karen Leng; ‘escapist art of the highest order’ wrote the Herald. Critical acclaim also came from the UK and US, with one review aligning the album with early Beck. A new album is in the mixing stage and will be released next year.
It's a singer-songwriter, baroque kind of sound, where a 60s/70s psychedelic folk feel mixes with the more classical sensibility.
